Today I lost it

November 24, 2020November 25, 20202 Comments

Why is it that we will be doing fine, "It's fine, I'm doing fine. Everything is fine." and then all of a sudden it just hits you? Everything is Not fine. Anyone else? I mean we are living in a global pandemic and absolutely everything is different now. Everything. Maybe it is so hard because … Continue reading Today I lost it

Kids’ Toys Organization: Legos

November 16, 2020November 16, 20203 Comments

(check out my photos and highlights on Instagram @kgennis) I spent Saturday sick and let my parents take care of me! It was the BEST honestly. I took the boys over, my parents watched them and allowed me to nap. (Yes, I have a very recent negative Covid test result.) The boys absolutely love time … Continue reading Kids’ Toys Organization: Legos

Summer 2020 Garden Update

July 28, 2020July 29, 2020Leave a comment

Well it's the end of July. So much has happened in our little (big) garden. The layout of our garden is not the same as last year. In fact, it is almost just the opposite. Josh built us 7 large raised beds, all from scrap wood that we already had here at the house. His … Continue reading Summer 2020 Garden Update

Easy family dinner – Shrimp Scampi

May 12, 2020May 12, 2020Leave a comment

I am always on the hunt for new family dinner recipes that meet a few specific requirements. They must be quick, have simple ingredients, healthy but kid approved and yummy! Also, it's a plus if the meal goes far- we have 3 growing boys and my husband is the type that eats 2-3 portions. I … Continue reading Easy family dinner – Shrimp Scampi

January 8th, you are 6!! Such a big birthday. Such a big deal- The first birthday as a student, especially amid a crazy pandemic ridden year. Our big kindergartener. Our biggest sweetheart, our Deacon David Ennis. The boy carrying the family name on the same day we are all celebrating and remembering your Great Grandma Ennis. Here is a small collection of our most favorite Deacon baby photos. Our big 9 pounder, always hungry, loud, sweet, happy middle son. We love you SO much. Xoxoxoxoxo Mom and Dad. #hunterdeaconwyatt #lifeloveandlittleboys #Deacondavid
A very memorable Christmas indeed. β€πŸŽ„πŸŽ…βπŸ€Ά
So excited for Santa! πŸŽ…πŸ€Ά1 more week until Christmas Eve and we are so ready! πŸŽ„β And thanks for our festive Christmas PJ's Nanny and Bebop! πŸ“Έ by Daddy ❀ @oldnavy #ennisfamoffive #hunterdeaconwyatt #christmastree
Hunter's best friend's Mom asked me today if they could stop by to drop off a gift. Trey had an idea and wanted to give his best friend a symbolic Christmas ornament. They each get a dove to hang on their tree each year. These two have been best buddies since they were babies at day care and pulling pacifiers out of one another's mouth. This friendship dove ornament means the world to Hunter, from his sweet best buddy, Trey. Then they were lucky enough to hang together, play outside and watch a Christmas movie together this afternoon We are so fortunate to have great friends nearby. β€πŸŽ„ #friendshipdove #adventuresofhunterman #christmastime #bestfriends #bestbuddies #bff #tistheseason
Our plans to travel to NJ were pretty quickly destroyed, thanks covid. So we had a small gathering with just our parents, the boys' 4 grandparents at our house. Our first time hosting. ❀ And while my mom made the turkey and Joyce made the potatoes, I tried a family tradition from both sides. My Mom's grandmother Grace (my namesake) and Josh's grandma Ruth both always made this cranberry jello. ❀Also, we are back to eLearning so here is Deacon's hand print Turkey. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. We will make up for this next year!
Today I lost it. ☹ Putting it ALL out there today. NEW on my blog. ❀ #covidsucks
Thinking about decluttering and purging toys before Christmas? What do you do with ALL of those Legos?? 10 TIPS for the sorting, organizing and storing of Legos (with some help too!) NEW on my Blog today. (Link in Bio!) πŸ™ŒπŸ» β€πŸ’›πŸ’™
Screw covid, making our own Halloween this year. We bought zero costumes. All stuff we had at home. A spiderman, a Hoosier, a Ninja, I'm a scarecrow and Josh is Wilson- Tim the Toolman's neighbor. #halloween2020
We couldn't let peak foliage pass us by and not visit campus. We had the best fall day today and were so proud of Wyatt keeping up with his brothers on his bike. πŸ‚πŸπŸŒ½β€ #lifeloveandlittleboys
