A new school year!

First day of school today! It’s hard to believe that we now have a 3rd, 6th & 7th grader this year!

A few fun facts :
– Deacon starts middle school, Yay!
– Hunter and Deacon are now in the old high school, a new middle school
– Wyatt won’t be in the same building as his brother until he is a freshman and Deacon is a senior
– We are so ready for football and fall baseball season

We had a jam packed summer but are so ready for getting back to a regular routine. I actually always love the start of a fresh new school year. So much excitement about new classes and seeing friends and starting fall sports. We bought all of the school supplies, met the teacher, toured new buildings and even completed summer reading requirements just in time! I am grateful to be here for all of it and soak it in with the boys. These boys mean the world to us and even though they are getting so big (and tall now), it still feels like a part of my heart is getting on the bus with them every day.

This summer was filled with many visitors and time seeing friends and family. We are grateful to see SO many friends and relatives down here at the beach and spend quality time together this summer. We also had a lot of family (and friends!) stay with us and enjoy the beach and doing what our boys do best, fishing and biking! We even had a house full of SEVEN boys for the 4th of July weekend! 🇺🇲 *Summer recap to follow

This summer, Josh and I have incorporated evening walks into our routine and the boys ride their bikes by our side. We walk 2.5 miles on our neighborhood loop most evenings, even after sunset and it’s still 80 some degrees outside. It’s a new habit that has stuck and I am so grateful for the quality family time. (Don’t worry, I do realize how old I sound saying this.)

While we got them on the bus this morning, I then had to head to the airport for my next work trip. I’ll hear all about their first day on the phone tonight.  Praying for a great school year for all. & GO Dolphins!
