Happy 1st birthday to this first (and only) litter from our labs Remi and Gracie. The boys, Josh and I loved taking care of these puppies and the boys learned lots of life lessons along the way. The boys learned many science lessons and even about the birds and the bees. Introducing these lessons to our boys with dogs as an example makes the conversation much easier! They learned how their Mama, Gracie cared for them, feds them milk and even bathed them and cleaned up for them. The boys saw them as tiny fuzzy pups that could fit in my hand and couldn’t see, hear or walk and then grow right before our very eyes. As they got big enough, we bathed them and took them on walks around the yard. They also made sure to take extra care of Gracie and show her love as she was such a great mom to those pups.

Wyatt particularly loved caring for them and once they were big enough, he would wake up early, let them outside and feed them and pet them all, as a 5 year old. Our boys all love animals and we are big dog lovers, of course. Even now the boys run off the bus down our long gravel driveway and forst thing they do is pet and feed their dogs.
These black and yellow lab puppies were all well loved and cared for and eventually adopted to wonderful forever homes.
Lots of great memories here for our family. We kept 2 puppies, Goldie (locks) and (baby) Bear. We love hearing from their owners! We get to see photo updates and in real life too! Snoopy is our neighbor’s lab, June is Josh’s cousin’s lab and Tucker is owned by Josh’s parents!
Happy 1st birthday to
Snoopy, Tucker, Bo, Bear (boys) and
(girls) Jessie, Goldie, Ember & June!

Many might think we are crazy with 3 boys and 4 dogs but we are as happy as can be and wouldn’t have it any other way!
You wrote a wonderful story about the puppies first year of life. Happy Birthday puppies🐕🐕🦺
